The UNAIDS Unified Budget, Results and Accountability Framework 2022–2026 (UBRAF) guides and allows for the operationalization of the Global AIDS Strategy, progress towards reaching the global AIDS targets and contributes towards the ten SDGs most relevant to the AIDS response.

The UBRAF defines three outcomes and ten underlying interconnected result areas where UNAIDS actions generate concrete and demonstrable results. It further allows for key achievements and progress of the Joint Programme to be monitored over time.

The ten Results Areas each have their own set of specific programmatic outputs and related UBRAF indicators which highlight the added value of the Joint Programme.

The collective results of the Joint Programme saved lives and helped further accelerate progress towards ending AIDS as a public health threat. As a multi-sectorial Joint Programme supporting countries' progress towards achieving the Global AIDS targets - with a proven track record of addressing the needs of the most vulnerable and marginalized - the Joint Programme further catalyzed efforts to reduce HIV-related inequalities in 2022.
